Research with passion, discover with joy

Hi there, and welcome to my personal research page! I am a PostDoc at IUSS in Pavia and INAF-IASF in Milano, where we conduct research on detectors and instrumentation for space and astrophysics.
I did my Ph.D. at Politecnico di Milano in the SPADLab, where pioneering research is carried out on single-photon avalanche diodes (SPADs). Back there, my research focused on implementing high-performance timing systems for single-photon detectors, working to push the limits of speed, precision and scalability.
Currently, I’m exploring the use of single-photon detectors for space and astrophysics applications at visible and ultraviolet wavelengths. At INAF-IASF I’m working on developing a high dynamic range UV detector, based on an innovative microchannel plates (MCPs) readout. At IUSS I’m investigating the resistance of silicon photomultipliers (SiPMs) to space radiation.
Feel free to explore the site to learn more about my work!
